Founded in 1974, Freiremar set out with only three fishing vessels and no end of enthusiasm. The company started as a family based company, a characteristic which it has kept despite the expansion of the company over the years.
 
From the outset, the company is committed to a gradual specialization of activity and, with this objective in mind, now includes shipowner companies of fishing vessels, coldstore concerns and firms focusing on processing and commer-cializing fresh and frozen sea produce.
 
After three decades of non-stop activity, with a specialized presence in markets and, at all times, among the most prestigious firms, the Freiremar Group currently comprises 35 companies.
